Good afternoon folks, it's been a wonderful afternoon of football and I am here to bring you a preview and my prediction for the Sunday Night Football game! Steelers. Bills. Big Ben. Josh Allen. Let's get this thing going!
The Steelers are coming into tonight's game as 2.5 point underdogs with a total of 48.5 points. They have looked very average in recent weeks, with this culminating with a loss to the R words (Redskins) and they will be looking to rebound. That being their only loss on the year says to me they're damn good. They have a sick D and score when they need to. Putting pu 27.38 ppg and throwing for 252.25 yards per game shows what they're capable of week in and week out. The problem that surfaced for them is the running game against Washington last week. With Connor back this week, that should improve against an average Bills team. Defensively, they are only giving up 17.58 ppg and 4.87 yards per play which is fantastic! Barely 100 yards per game on the ground given up as well, the Bills will have to rely on the passing game!
The Bills come into this one with one of the best offenses in the league averaging 27.75 ppg and Allen throwing for 276.58 yards per game. They can run the ball pretty decently with Moss and their other backs, but Allen and Diggs are their primary offensive weapons. Now on the other side of the ball, this isn't the Bills D we are used to seeing in recent years. They give up 25.5 ppg on the year and gave up 42 to a Titans team who missed two weeks of practice from Covid protocols which is effing embarrassing. They don't really stop anything, giving up 5.78 yards per play but given the Steelers recent struggles, this could be ok for them this week.
Trends for this one, the Steelers are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games and 10-2 ATS in their last 12 against the Bills. The under has hit in 4 of their last 5 and also 5 of their last 6 following a loss. For the Bills, they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games and are 5-1 SU in their last 6 home games. The over for them has hit in 4 of their last 5 and the under has hit in 4 of their last 5 against Pittsburgh.
My prediction for this game is a Steelers win. I know they're underdogs, but they're also coming off a loss here and looking to bounce back in a big way. My score is the Steelers win, 34-27.
