Good afternoon everyone, the NFL previews and predictions are going to be done a little differently today. I have my most intriguing 1 PM game right now and will write up the other two games that I have on tap later today! Without further ado, let's hop into the Chiefs and Dolphins!
This is a huge matchup for the Dolphins who are 7 point dogs today as they look to prove that they are indeed a legitimate contender for their division and the playoffs. Tua is off to a pretty solid start for a rookie who came in halfway through the year. Offensively, they are scoring 25.25 ppg and gaining 5.25 yards per play. We have seen DeVante Parker come around and prove that he is still a good player and the offense has looked fantastic compared to recent years. They run for almost 100 per game which is what you look for! Defensively is where their bread is buttered though. They are only giving up 17.67 ppg and are looking like possibly the most formidable D in the AFC East this season. They do have their hands full today with Mahomes and all of those KC weapons.
KC is averaging 30.83 ppg and league best yards per game at 427.79 along with 6.51 yards per play. Mahomes and this offense never seem to disappoint and when Big Red Andy has a plethora of weapons at his disposal, WATCH OUT. Defensively, they have the dudes to be a really good D but always find themselves in shootouts. They only give up 21.17 ppg along with a horrifying 5.64 yards per play. I like the guys they have, but I do not appreciate the way the play as a unit together. This one will be decided with big defensive plays and Mahomes being Mahomes.
Trends for this game, KC is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games but they are 8-0 SU in their last 8 road games. The under for them has hit in 6 of their last 7 in December as well as 5 of their last 6 after an ATS loss. For Miami, they are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games and 6-1 ATS in their last 7 vs. the AFC. The under has hit in 5 of their last 6 vs. AFC teams and 4 of their last 5 home games. I like this spot here for Mahomes and the Chiefs, they should look to bounce back today after weeks of some average performances. Chiefs win this game, 30-17.
